Antonio Grossi migrated from Italy to Brazil in 1879 to work on coffee plantations. Years later, in 1950, his son Matheus Grossi decided to invest in a small coffee plantation in the northwest of Paraná. Born in Garça, in the countryside of São Paulo state, José Carlos helped his father on the farm whenever he could, before joining the ESALQ / USP agriculture school in 1966 to deepen his knowledge of coffee growing.

José Carlos Grossi left his family’s fields in 1972 to start his first coffee plantation in the then little-known Cerrado Mineiro region but by 1991, his efforts had paid off.

This lot has been designed for espresso. The combination of 50% natural and 50% pulped natural (honey) blend, produced from the Red Catuai and Mundo Novo varieties deliver sweetness, roundness, and structure, enhanced by the aromatic brightness of the honey fermentation.

In the cup, this espresso offers pronounced sweetness, notes of brown sugar, caramel, and honey, controlled acidity, and the creamy texture characteristic of coffees from the Cerrado.
