This amazing washed Bourbon from the Nyamyumba washing station delivers a rich and creamy texture of caramel and brown sugar with the fruity citrus and berry notes, everything expected and loved of Rwandan coffee.

The Nyamyumba station in the Rubavu District, was built in 2006 and has the capacity to process up to 496 tonnes of cherry annually.

The farm sizes are small, averaging between 0.1 – 0.3 hectares in size, with each farmer allocated roughly 400 trees to maintain in nutrient-rich volcanic clay soils in the high-altitude hills of the Congo Nile trail.

Farmers selectively handpick cherries and deliver to the Nyamyumba washing station, where cherries are hand sorted to remove defective or low-density beans. This hands-on approach and attention to detail contributes to the consistently high quality coffee that is highly sought after.
