Located in the highlands of Timaná, Cata Reserva spans 30 hectares, with half of the land preserved as native forest to support biodiversity and long-term soil health. The farm focuses on exceptional varieties, including Pink Bourbon, Gesha and Laurina, with ongoing replanting programs shaping the future of production.

Cata Export first began working with the farm in 2019 through producer Rodrigo Cortés. Following his retirement, Cat and Pierre acquired the property to preserve its legacy and continue developing distinctive coffees through environmentally responsible farming, microbiological precision and sustainable processing practices.

This lot begins with the careful hand-selection of perfectly ripe Castillo cherries to maximise sweetness and consistency. After pulping, the coffee undergoes 24 hours of controlled oxidation to enhance aromatic complexity, clarity and balance before being fully dried on raised beds under the sun.

The result is a vibrant, fruit-driven cup layered with notes of black grape, tangelo and rounded caramel sweetness, finishing juicy, bright and beautifully structured.
