El Origen, Espresso - Colombia

Linarco Rodriguez grows coffee near the city of Palestina, in the south of Huila, one of Colombia's most renowned growing regions. The Linarco family has owned this farm for about 25 years and considers it a true family business. Most of the agricultural work is done by Linarco, his mother, sister and nephew. 

The volcanic soils of Huila, preserved from intensive agriculture further north, are rich in nutrients and, thanks to their high altitude, offer excellent conditions for the production of high-quality coffees. There are also a large number of dynamic and agile small-scale producers, many of whom have a family history in coffee, but who have not been working on the same large industrial farms for generations, like the more established coffee regions.

This translates into a willingness to experiment, innovate and create batches that meet the ever-changing needs of the specialty coffee market.
