Most decafs are regional blends but Cafe Muda have managed to find a quality coffee from a single farm. Grown at the El Vergel farm, by the young Bayter brothers who work to improve the quality of the coffee. Thanks to Miguel Jimenez's expert advice, they introduced unique coffee varieties and processes to their farm. They regularly offer new products, following coffee trends as much as possible.
This is a washed caturra where decaffeination is carried out using an innovative process using cane sugar. By distilling sugar cane peelings, ethanol is obtained, which, combined with acetic acid, this removes caffeine from the beans. This 100% natural and 0-waste process extracts caffeine while preserving the rich aromas of the coffee!
In Portuguese, "MUDA" means young coffee shoot. The word also refers to the verb "Mudar" which means to change.
