This specialty decaf from the Caldas Cooperative is not only super tasty with a balanced body, low acidity and notes of milk chocolate, brown sugar and nougat. It’s also an outstanding natural processed, sugarcane decaffeinated coffee you can drink all day long, even before bed time!

Sugarcane decaf, also commonly referred to as natural decaffeinated, takes decaf coffee to the next level using a relatively new and revolutionary decaf technique.

The process is as natural as possible and relatively simple, it utilizes a naturally occurring compound, ethyl acetate (EA), derived from sugarcane, to decaffeinate the coffee. The coffee beans are moistened with water and EA is circulated throughout. The EA binds with the caffeine in the bean and extracts the caffeine while leaving most of the other flavour compounds.
