This Kenyan washed coffee comes from the Riakiberu Factory in Murang’a County, where coffee is produced by smallholder farmers growing coffee at high altitude on the fertile slopes of central Kenya.

Riakiberu is one of the coffee processing factories operated by a local farmers’ cooperative, providing growers with a central point for delivering their freshly harvested cherries. At the factory, carefully selected ripe cherries are pulped and fermented before being washed in clean water and dried slowly on raised African drying beds. This traditional washed process highlights the clarity and acidity for which high-grown Kenyan coffees are known.

In the cup, the coffee is bright and structured, with lively notes of citrus, peach and tomato. A marked freshness carries through the finish, balanced by a clean, precise structure. It is an expressive example of the classic Kenyan washed style, where altitude, careful processing and distinctive varieties come together to produce a vibrant and articulate cup.

Parcel

Parcel was born from a meeting between Mikaël and Damien in 2016, colleagues turned friends, united by a shared love of coffee.

What began as a passion has grown into a craft, shaped by years of experience and a commitment to doing things right.

At the heart of Parcel is a simple goal: to honour the producers behind every cup. The people, places and processes that make each coffee truly exceptional.
