Andrés Torres is a specialty coffee producer from the Lonya Grande region. He owns Santa Teresa, a 7-hectare farm nestled at an altitude of 1,600 - 1,700 masl, where he grows Geisha coffee. The farm's main crop is harvested between July and November.
His farm is named after the Santa Teresa region. Over the years, he has participated in various national competitions and placed among the top ten in the 2021 Cup of Excellence. His passion for coffee has also been passed onto his children. According to Andrés, producing specialty coffee has transformed their lives, both socially and economically, and brought their family closer together.
Since he was a child, Andrés dreamed of selling his coffee directly to consumers under his own brand. Today, he is proud to see his name on export bags, and he and his children plan to further expand their Geisha production.
