While Honduras has long been recognised for producing outstanding specialty coffee, many of its finest lots come from small farming communities that remain relatively unknown outside the country.

This coffee comes from Pozo Negro, a community in the municipality of Masaguara, Intibucá. Produced by a collective of 60 smallholder farmers, the group is built on collaboration, knowledge sharing and a shared commitment to continuous improvement.

The Pozo Negro collective has invested heavily in improving quality, upgrading wet mills, drying infrastructure and farm management practices. These improvements have made it possible to produce carefully separated micro-lots with greater traceability, something still relatively uncommon in many coffee producing regions of Honduras.

Every cup represents not just the potential of Intibucá's remarkable terroir, but the collective effort of producers working together to elevate Honduran specialty coffee.

The result is a beautifully balanced cup, offering notes of chocolate, caramel, delicate fruit and roasted nuts with exceptional sweetness and clarity.

More importantly, it demonstrates how rewarding quality at origin helps build a more sustainable future for coffee, one where producers are recognised and fairly rewarded for the care and dedication behind every harvest.
